Charles Carson

Charles Carson was born in Montreal on March 13th, 1957. It was in 1970, that the artist discovered his passion for painting. He started with traditional figurative paintings that were inspired by his immediate environment. Unsatisfied with the results, he turned towards a semi-figurative style that is very personal. His style and his paintings take on a life of their own, and his talent gets stronger with every new painting.

Right from the start of the 1980's, Carson turns professional with his works and takes part in many exhibitions across Canada, the U.S., Europe, Asia and South America where he spent over five years. Carson is known world wide by many art experts and historians for his unique technique that they named "Carsonism". Charles Carson did not only invent a new style but his pictorial writing is so different that it is considered as a completely new order of values and tendencies from what is normally found in the arts. His works are part of private and public collections world wide.
