Anna Noéh

Anna Noéh was born in Hungary in 1926. From 1952 to 1956 she studied in the Budapest Academy of Arts. She came to Montreal in 1957. She was extremely attracted by the Great North that she visited eleven times since 1970. Noéh brings to life rich, grandiose northern landscapes, inspired by the life of Inuit. Her work blends realism of the Great North's nature with her mystical perception of light and the fraternity of the inhabitants of the tundra. Her work can be found in many private and public collections. Her paintings were also exposed at the Museum of Quebec as well as the Fine Arts Museums of Montreal and Joliette.
